On the 21st of November, the biggest audience of the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski "gathered over 600 fans and friends of one of the most famous contemporary Bulgarian lawyers, the authoritative and beloved professor of the Faculty of Law - Prof. Dr. Ognian Gerdjikov.
The occasion was the presentation of his book "Civil Poem" or "Law, Praised in Poetry" issued by the publishing house "Bulgarian bestseller". The event was organized with the assistance of the lawyer of the club "Todor Piperkov".
At the book presentation evening the author himself cited some of his selected poems - memorable and inspiring. Aboutwhich spoke the writer Dimitar Tomov, the poet Nedialko Yordanov and others. The new rector of the Sofia University prof. Anastas Gerdjikov also welcomed the author and made a brief professional review of the book, ending with the words: "... While in irony and jokes, with these verses one can have fun and remember with ease that this is not a light matter."
In 135 pages the talented pen of the lawyer-poet immerses us in an unusual way in the world of civil law. His poems are illustrated with wonderful caricatures of the famous artist Kalin Nikolov. His exhibition accompanied the premiere. In his foreword to the edition prof. d-r Vasil Mrachkov stated: "The professor collects poems in words that are loved and attractin rhymed stanzas. So the law norms called to make prescriptions become melodious quatrains with messages thatpersuade and convince in anaccessible,light and soft manner.
This magic is inherent only to the achieved in perfection law that has turned into a right. Meaning Publius Yuventus Celsus, when during the second century BC, he elegantly defined law as an art of the fair and the good. "
The outstanding Nedialko Yordanov, in the introductory text to the book, determined thewritten as emergence of a new genre in contemporary Bulgarian literature - Legal poetry! No "made" but LEGAL. At the premiere he read two odes written by him and dedicated them explicitly to the professor.
