Dr. Naif Bin Assai, Charge d’Affaires of the Royal embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Bulgaria,

hosted an Iftar dinner on March 13th 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Sofia on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Iftar was attended by ambassadors, diplomats, cultural figures, representatives of the Muslim community in Bulgaria and friends of the embassy.

Dr. Naif Bin Assai greeted the audience in his welcome speech, wishing them health, peace and prosperity. The dinner began after the Maghrib prayer, starting with delicious Saudi dates followed by traditional food.

The friendly atmosphere that characterized the Iftar dinner demonstrated that such events bring people together, regardless of their religious and ethnic affiliations, and that the month of Ramadan embodies the spirit of tolerance, solidarity, mercy, benevolence and repentance.
